Fitter and Faster Tour

Learn to swim from former Olympian Gil Stovall.  Gil Stovall is an American swimmer who competed at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.  Gil is only 5’8″ tall and weighs only 145 pounds, but his accomplishments are of monumental proportions.  His competitors throughout his entire life were always much larger.  Gil out worked them.  He out hustled them… and he became one of the greatest swimmers in American history. To register visit fitterandfaster.com

Youth Fitness Outreach

Because lifestyle choices made in adolescence can have an impact on health in adulthood, it is critical that after school programs are designed to promote the health and physical development of children. Therefore, this program was designed to educate participants of ways to be healthy, which in turn may prevent diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and many other problems associated with unhealthy habits. The program is offered at various District 150 schools and outlying areas as well as the YMCA facility.

Adventure Guides

Ideal for children in grades K-8 and their dads, the program brings together the child and father.

The families become part of a ‘Circle’ and meet regularly with other families in that ‘Circle’. ‘Circles’ come together to participate in larger activities. Adventure Guides have camp outs, go bowling, visit museums and parades. Trailblazers go horseback riding, snow tubing and go-carting. Both programs take part in activities that center around community building.

Cost: Father & 1 child $45 per year
