An updated schedule for the aerobics room can be found at the Member Services desk, near the workout logs or outside of the aerobics classroom. Please feel free to take a copy to keep at home. All classes are subject to change based on enrollment and instructor availability. Classes that are offered at the YMCA are described below.
Group Power®- Group Power is you hour of power! This 60 minute barbell program strengthens all four major muscles in an inspiring, motivating group environment with fantastic music and awesome instructors. With simple, athletic movements such as squats, lunges, presses and curls, Group Power is for all ages and fitness levels. Discover results, discover Group Power.
Monday Madness- This class is always exciting and different, varying from circuit training, boot camp, Turbo Kick, and Hip Hop fitness. Always a challenge, and always fun.
Cardio Jam- A high intensity mixed impact floor aerobic class. Move, groove and burn off fat in one hour. All fitness levels welcome.
People’s Choice- An early morning cardio workout finishing with light weight work. The type of cardio is chosen by participants and instructor. All fitness levels welcome.
SilverSneakers I- Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity of daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
SilverSneakers Yoga-Stretch- This new class is designed to challenge you physically and mentally with a variety of simple and safe yoga exercises that you’ll do at your own pace. Using a chair for support, you’ll increase flexibility, build endurance and learn how to relax and think more clearly.
Step- Fun, energetic and easy to follow. This mixed impact cardio class will keep you moving on a step platform. Burn fat and strengthen your heart with this class. Class finishes with weights and core muscle work. All fitness levels welcome.
Turbo Kick- An addictive workout that combines shadow boxing, kick boxing, sports drills, dancing, yoga and simple dance moves in a party atmosphere. An interval based class. All fitness levels welcome.
Ab Lab/Y-Core- A total body workout using light hand weights and body weight. Sculpt your legs and arms, while improving your core strength with this workout. All fitness levels welcome.
Y-Yoga- Hatha Yoga combines posture, breathing and focus to promote strength, flexibility, stamina, balance and deep relaxation of the mind and body. Beginner and Intermediate level.
Mystery Fitness- A different class each Saturday. Class will vary from step, step & strength, boot camp, circuit, cardio jam, turbo kick, yoga or tone & sculpt. See posted schedule on bulletin boards for class listing by date. All fitness levels welcome.
Zumba- Zumba combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that allow the Zumba participants to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be "FUN AND EASY TO DO"
