Fitness Center Information

The YMCA’s fitness center offers everything from free weights to resistance machines and treadmills to elliptical trainers. The YMCA has the ability to enhance your health through exercise.  Personal training and fitness classes are available.
Make arrangements to meet one of our certified staff.  We have experienced male and female trainers to help you in a variety of programs.  Some reasons to meet our trainers would be:

The YMCA Fitness Center is for members 15 years of age and up.  Any member that is 12-14 may use center if continually supervised by a parent or guardian.


Fitness Orientations

All new members (or current members) are encouraged to attend a FREE orientation to the facility.  All individual orientations must be arranged by appointment.  Orientations last about one hour.  Appointments can be made at the fitness desk in the Fitness Center or by calling 692-7631, ext. 202.
Fitness Assessments are available.  To schedule an appointment to have your fitness level tested, call the fitness department at 692-7631 ext. 202.  First assessment  is FREE to members and $10 thereafter.


Personalized Programs

12-Week Fit Start Program
Staff will meet with and help design a 12-week program for members.  Contact one of our trainers for more information and appointment time.  Especially ideal for people new to exercise.
Appointment and $10 fee required.

W-O-W (Women on Weights)

Designed to break down stereotypes and myths associated with women lifting weights.  Set an appointment with one of our trainers to gain new knowledge on weight training, learn new exercises and have an introductory 4-week program designed for you.  Appointment and $25 fee required.

Never Too Late To Start

An introductory program designed for our active older adults to learn how to do free weight exercises properly and safely.  This is offered by appointment only and costs $10 to members over 55-years of age.

Teens With Weights
Designed to help teenagers use free weights safely and properly.  Appointment and $25 fee required.
Personal Training

Personal training is available to help you get that specialized and personal attention in order to achieve your fitness goals.  Nationally certified and educated male and female trainers are available.  Please call 692-7631 ext. 202 for more information.  Fee is $16-$25 per session.


Elevated Track

The track is typically open anytime the building is open.  It is for members age 12 and older.  Those under age 12 must be supervised by someone at least 16 years old.  Exercise equipment on the track is for exercise purposes only.


Program Design

Those members looking for a program designed specific to their goals, wants and needs can have one done by our certified staff.  Programs do not exceed four weeks in design and are most beneficial if gone through with a trainer.  All programs are $25.  This fee can be applied to Personal Training Sessions of three of greater; other wise Personal Training is additional.


Body Fat Assessments

Body fat (Bioelectrical Impedence Analzyer) tests are available by appointment.  The first test is free to members and thereafter a $2 charge will be administered. Appointments need to be made at least 48 hours in advance with Eddie Papis, Fitness Director.
